Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Webture Chess, we strive to provide a fair, transparent, and professionally managed tournament experience. Please read our Refund & Cancellation Policy carefully before registering for any tournament.

1. Entry Fee Policy

All tournament entry fees are charged to confirm your participation in the selected event.

Registration is considered complete only after successful payment.

2. No Refund Policy

Once the tournament registration has been successfully completed:

  • Entry fees are non-refundable.
  • Registration fees cannot be partially refunded.
  • Refunds will not be issued for accidental registrations.
  • Refunds will not be issued if a participant is unable to attend the tournament.

Please ensure that you are available to participate before completing your registration.

3. No Cancellation

After payment has been successfully processed:

  • Registrations cannot be cancelled.
  • Tournament entries cannot be withdrawn.
  • Entry fees cannot be transferred to another tournament unless specifically approved by Webture Chess.

4. No Transfer of Registration

Tournament registrations are personal and cannot be:

  • Transferred to another player.
  • Sold or exchanged.
  • Used by multiple participants.

Only the registered participant is permitted to play.

5. Tournament Cancellation by Webture Chess

If a tournament is cancelled by Webture Chess due to unforeseen circumstances, participants may receive one of the following at the organizer’s discretion:

  • A full refund of the entry fee, or
  • Credit towards a future tournament of equal value.

Participants will be notified through their registered email address.

6. Technical Issues

Refunds will not be provided for issues arising from the participant’s side, including but not limited to:

  • Internet connectivity problems.
  • Power failures.
  • Device or hardware malfunctions.
  • Software issues.
  • Failure to join the tournament on time.
  • Incorrect Lichess account information.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and a compatible device before the tournament begins.

7. Disqualification

Participants disqualified due to:

  • Fair Play violations.
  • Use of chess engines or outside assistance.
  • Multiple accounts.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct.
  • Violation of tournament rules.

will not be eligible for any refund.

8. Duplicate Payments

If you are charged more than once for the same tournament due to a verified payment processing error, please contact us immediately.

After verification, any genuine duplicate payment will be refunded to the original payment method.

9. Prize Distribution

Prize money is not issued immediately after the tournament.

Prizes will be processed only after:

  • Fair Play investigations are completed.
  • Final standings are confirmed.

Prize distribution may take up to 3 business days after the tournament concludes.
