Welcome to Webture Chess. By registering for any tournament hosted on chess.webture.in, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your registration.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for a tournament on Webture Chess, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, including our Fair Play Policy and Refund Policy.

2. Eligibility

  • Players of all ages may participate unless a tournament specifies age restrictions.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they have a valid account on the designated playing platform (such as Lichess).
  • Players must provide accurate registration information, including their name, email address, mobile number, and Lichess username.

3. Tournament Registration

  • Registration is confirmed only after successful payment of the entry fee.
  • Each registration is valid for one player only.
  • Registration closes on the date and time specified for each tournament.
  • Webture Chess reserves the right to limit the number of participants.

4. Tournament Platform

Unless otherwise stated, tournaments will be conducted on Lichess.org.

Tournament links and joining instructions will be sent to registered participants before the tournament begins.

5. Entry Fees

  • Entry fees are non-transferable.
  • Prices displayed on the tournament page are final.
  • Payment must be completed using the available payment methods on our website.

6. Fair Play Policy

Webture Chess maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against cheating.

Players must not:

  • Use chess engines or analysis software during games.
  • Receive assistance from another person.
  • Use multiple accounts.
  • Engage in any unfair or unethical conduct.

We reserve the right to investigate any suspicious activity using:

  • Lichess Fair Play systems
  • Manual game analysis
  • Tournament Arbiter review
  • Additional evidence where necessary

The organizer’s decision regarding Fair Play investigations shall be final.

7. Prize Distribution

Prize pools may vary depending on the number of confirmed registrations.

The final prize structure will be announced before the tournament begins.

Prize money will be processed only after:

  • Completion of Fair Play investigations
  • Verification of final standings

Prize distribution may take up to 3 business days after the tournament concludes.

8. Disqualification

A participant may be disqualified if they:

  • Violate tournament rules.
  • Submit false registration information.
  • Engage in abusive or offensive behavior.
  • Are found guilty of Fair Play violations.

Disqualified participants will not be eligible for prizes.

9. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Once a registration has been successfully completed:

  • Entry fees are non-refundable.
  • Registrations cannot be cancelled.
  • Registrations cannot be transferred to another participant.

Exceptions may be considered only if the tournament is cancelled by Webture Chess.

10. Tournament Changes

Webture Chess reserves the right to:

  • Modify tournament schedules.
  • Change tournament formats.
  • Adjust time controls.
  • Update prize structures before the tournament starts.
  • Cancel or postpone tournaments due to unforeseen circumstances.

Participants will be informed of any significant changes.

11. Technical Issues

Participants are responsible for:

  • Having a stable internet connection.
  • Using a compatible device.
  • Logging into the tournament platform before the event begins.

Webture Chess is not responsible for:

  • Internet connectivity issues.
  • Device failures.
  • Power outages.
  • Technical problems on the participant’s side.

12. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to:

  • Treat fellow players with respect.
  • Avoid abusive language or harassment.
  • Follow tournament instructions.
  • Maintain good sportsmanship throughout the event.

Failure to comply may result in removal from current and future tournaments.

13. Privacy

Personal information collected during registration is used solely for:

  • Tournament administration
  • Player communication
  • Prize distribution
  • Customer support

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except where required by law or payment processing services.

14. Limitation of Liability

Webture Chess shall not be liable for:

  • Technical interruptions.
  • Platform outages.
  • Internet failures.
  • Delays caused by third-party services.
  • Indirect or consequential damages arising from tournament participation.

  • You accept the organizer’s decisions regarding tournament administration and Fair Play investigations.
